Salvador Segui, (nicknamed Sugarbaby either because he was a sweet talker or because he had a sweet tooth); general secretary of the Spanish anarcho-syndicalist union the CNT, was assassinated by the police on March 10th 1923. Some union members tracked down the alleged perpetrator of this crime, General Languia, and assassinated him as he played cards with his bodyguards in the back room of a bar. What you see in the print is Languia the moment before he was despatched. The gun in this is an authentic artifact; a nickel-plated Orbea revolver from the 1920's, a real pimp's gun.
