Ruth Franklin, Old and New Dreams, one woman art exhibition
The WADDI presents RUTH FRANKLIN: Old and New Dreams, a one-woman show of paintings and drawings by British-born, Atlanta-based artist Ruth Franklin. A 3-day opening will take place April 22, 23 & 24 during the Inman Park Festival. The show will run through July 2.

There will be a two week 'intermission' from May 15 - June 1, when the gallery hosts the SCAD MFA Student Show. Ruth's show will reopen for an encore from June 2 - July 2.

Featuring over sixty original paintings and drawings, spanning more than a decade, this is Ruth Franklin’s most comprehensive solo exhibition to date. She earned her art degree at Brighton Art School in the 80s. It was the time of conceptual art and the Young British Artists, neither of which interested Ruth, who many consider to be the epitome of a painter’s painter. She's always in her studio before dawn, seven days a week. Since emigrating to the US in 1994, her work has been exhibited in galleries from New York to the Netherlands. Readers of Creative Loafing have twice voted her ‘best established visual artist’ in Atlanta.

The WADDI art gallery is located behind Smith Ivey Salon at 26 Waddell St NE, Atlanta GA 30307.
