This week we are in Vancouver with The Be Good Tanyas for their version of Townes Van Zandt's "Waitin' Around To Die", produced by John MacArthur Ellis and first released on their "Chinatown" LP on Nettwerk Music Group in 2003...

"The Be Good Tanyas are a female folk/country/bluegrass trio from Vancouver, who I first discovered when searching for Townes Van Zandt songs on the super information highway. Townes was a hugely influential Texan-born songwriter who had quite a reputation as a picker in his younger years. Not that he ever got old, he lived hard and left us age 52. I know little about the ladies in The Be Good Tanyas and won't pretend I do - but I do know they do a fine job here." - KV
