KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
This week we are at 46A Old Church Street, in London's Chelsea, at Sound Techniques Studio, sometime in either late 1968 or early 1969 for Nick Drake's "Saturday Sun", from his debut "Five Leaves Left" LP released on Island... "Nick Drake was 20 years old when he recorded his first LP with producer Joe Boyd. Sadly, 6 years later he would be dead from an overdose of anti-depressants. Although his records sold poorly on their release, the years have been kind to Nick and he now receives the recognition and admiration he deserves. He only made 4 LPs and I find them all beautiful and recommend them all. He's backed here by the legendary Danny Thompson on bass and Tristan Fry on drums and vibes." - KV
