This week were in the Chicago of 1948 for Muddy Waters' "I Can't Be Satisfied" on Aristocrat (a label that would soon change it's name to Chess Records)...

"One of my proudest moments was in the late 1970s when I managed to hustle my way through a backstage crowd to shake hands with Muddy Waters. I told him my name and he asked me to repeat it, so I did. "Kosmo Vinyl !", he exclaimed, "That some name you got yourself.", we both laughed and shook hands. Hard to believe this record was made 70 years ago and still sounds as crucial as ever." - KV
