KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
This week it's back to JA and 1983 for Gregory Issacs' "Out Deh" from the album of the same name... "In the early 1980s, Gregory Isaacs (AKA The Cool Ruler) was held in the same regard as Al Green must have been held in Black America ten years before. He was the supreme "lovers" Jamaican singer, but I've not chosen a "Lovers Rock". Here is one of my favourite prison songs from the album, on the cover of which Gregory can be seen in all his rude boy glory. Having once had a dispute with him over payment, I can assure you, what you see is what you get." - KV
