KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
This week we are in England for the Norman (aka Fatboy Slim) Cook's remix of Cornershop's "Brimful of Asha" from 1998... "Here is a classic example of a remix 'saving the day' and bringing a great record to everyone's attention. Tjinder Singh's ode to the Indian movie singer Asha Bhonsle had peaked at #60 in the UK charts, before Fatboy Slim's remix took it all the way to #1 and then on to international hitsville. It brought Cornershop and it's great album, "When I was Born for the 7th Time", the success it deserved. Hard to believe that was 20 years ago !" - KV
