This week we are in New York City at Atlantic Records Recording Studio, 1841 Broadway (60th St.), in November 1971 for Donny Hathaway's studio version of John Lennon's "Jealous Guy"...

"Donny Hathaway is best remembered for his duet with Roberta Flack and often mistaken for Stevie Wonder. He was, in fact, one of the great soul singers of his time, but sadly he suffered from mental illness and took his own life in New York in 1979, aged 33. Although I was familiar with his 'live' recording of "Jealous Guy", I have only recently discovered this studio version, recorded around the same time. It appears to only be released on a 4CD French box set from 2010." - KV
