KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
This week we are in Plaza Sound Studios, 55 W. 50th St. New York City, in either August or September of 1976 for Blondie's "Rip Her To Shreds", produced by Richard Gottehrer and first released on the Private Stock "Blondie" debut LP... "One of my earliest jobs as press and promotion man was to help the publicist Glenn Coulson promote the first Blondie album in the UK. At that time, they were very much as part of the American punk scene as The Ramones or anyone else. Their first LP has remained my favourite of theirs, with a much rawer feel than their later output." - KV
