KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
"Top Hat, White Tie & Tails" by Fred Astaire, featuring Oscar Peterson and a bunch of other jazz musicians. Norman Granz organized this in the late 50s (I think) - he got Astaire together with a bunch of Jazz Musicians and re-recorded all his classic movie hits. It originally came out on 3 LPs ("The Astaire Story") but the one CD is the way for most folks to go - really great..." - KV

"No I don't have the blues, but this week it's time to give the immortally sad Karen Dalton her due. I've chosen "Something On Your Mind" from the "In My Own Time" LP, which was issued on CD by the Light in the Attic label. There aren't many people you can say 'aren't like anyone else', but she is one of them. Died completely unrecognized, killed by her demons." - KV
