KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
Bert Jansch's instrumental version of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" from the Jack Orion LP... "Although I knew the name I never started listening to Bert Jansch until the 1990s, after I got to know Danny Thompson. Amongst the guitar playing community, when it comes to acoustic, he is held in the highest regard. Kirsty Maccoll's dad, Ewan, wrote this song in the early '60s and although it's said that he never liked any of the cover versions of it - I'd like to think he didn't mind this one." - KV
KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
"Rockin It" by Fearless Four on Enjoy... "Mick Jones made a quick trip to NYC for some reason and came back with this on a cassette he had recorded on his boom box (off the radio). So I had a second generation cassette copy until I could get back to NYC and pick up a 12". The Hip Hop records out of New York seemed to be coming fast and furious around 1981 and The Clash were huge fans." - KV
KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
"Factory Girl" by The Rolling Stones from the Beggars Banquet LP... "My interest in The Stones ends soon after the arrival of Ron Wood, perhaps because I was so into The Faces as a young teenager, I still don't think of him as a Rolling Stone. Still I'm not sure that Mick, Keith and Charlie do either? Always thought that the Pogues should have covered "Factory Girl." - KV
