KOSMO's VINYL of the Week: "This week we go obscure "Stoki" by The Skylarks (South Africa) with Miriam Makeba. I believe it's from the '50s. The South African Skylarks were introduced to me by a 78 collector and old pal, the actor Matt Dillon. There are a couple of compilation CDs out there, but actual records aren't that easy or cheap to find. I chose this one because it's on You Tube. Much of what Matt has by them is only on 78 - but it's wonderful stuff." - KV

KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
"This week it's "Jolly Fucker" by Sleaford Mods. They may not be the only band in the UK who are "telling it like it is", but they are the only one that's reached me in NYC. I was a bit dismissive at first, but a couple of people I really respect told me to reconsider, so I have." - KV
KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
"Ooh My Head" by Ritchie Valens... "First came across this at a rare cinema screening of Go, Johnny, Go! in London about 1978, Joe Strummer was about 3 rows in front of me with his girlfriend. Most folks know this as "Boogie With Stu" by Led Zeppelin but the Valens estate attorney jogged Plant and Page's memories." - KV
KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
"Back to Jamaica this week for "Feeling Soul" by Bob Andy, from the "Bob Andy's Song Book" LP on Studio One. Bob Andy never got the recognition he deserved and "Bob Andy's Song Book" is a must have for anyone interested in Rocksteady or vintage Reggae. I think a better cover might have helped the LP, but I've grown fond of that book drawing over the years - the colors certainly Pop!" - KV
