KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
"Mr Kicks" by Oscar Brown Jr., I know it from the "Between Heaven and Hell" LP, but there is also a compilation called "Kicks" - I've never owned that as I have the 3 Oscar Brown Jr. LPss I want. Oscar is well known for his much covered "Work Song". I discovered this in the 1980s just going through the crates." - KV

KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
This week I pick Otis Redding's "It's Too Late (She's Gone)" from the LP "Otis Redding Sings Soul Ballads". This is a great song originally done by Chuck Willis and soon covered by Buddy Holly, I'm sure there are more versions too. The 3 versions I know are all great, but when it comes to singing, Otis is my man!" - KV
KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
The Cramps, "The Way I Walk" from "Gravest Hits"... "Alex Chilton at the controls. The Cramps early shows in London were quite an occasion, both onstage and off. The Pyscho Jungle Children of Elvis - lots of hair grease, mascara, high heels and bones. Bryan Gregory is the only middle-aged man I've ever seen pull off a black negligee, drainpipes and stilettos without wearing makeup or a wig." - KV
KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
"This week I've chosen "Abdul Abulbul Amir" by Frank Crumit. Originally released on 78 rpm 10", I have it on a CD titled "The Gay Caballero". This was one of Ian Dury's favourite records and one of life's great pleasures is to share a verse or two with either Humphrey Ocean or Danny Baker - on a great day, both together." - KV
KOSMO's VINYL of the Week:
"Born A Woman" by Sandy Posey... "Joe Strummer and Nick Lowe are the only other two Sandy Posey fans I've ever knowingly run into - very tough song." - KV
