This week's pick is "Apartment #9" by Tammy Wynette, from her 1967 debut LP "Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad"...

"I never really discovered Tammy Wynette until after I had started buying George Jones records in the late 1970s. Her "Stand By Your Man" had been a number one in the UK in 1975 and was quickly followed into the charts by "D.I.V.O.R.C.E", but still I paid her no mind. Still, better late than never. There's also a great Keith Richards bootleg version of "Apartment #9" which, by the way, was co-written by the forever badass Johnny Paycheck." - KV
